Been thinking of taking a vacation in Spain. Not sure what to expect but i suppose first things first is to find search for KNN!!!! in Madrid using online search or something along those lines. Heard that Spain has lots good seafood places as well. In terms of pricing, i've read somewhere that its quite affordable as well. But when i do go, i need to make reservations at El Bulli first. :p

Was walking thru a candy aisle of a retail store and something catches my eye. M&M's in special packaging. As usual laaa...curious....took a look....ended up with 2 packages in my hand.....needless to say, this has to be the best tasting M&Ms. They are so-so good!!! Next year, when i get back to Msia, definately will try to hunt them down and let some of you taste it. :)

Yesterday, getting the Iphone 3G was the last thing on my mind. Then all of a sudden, a email about IT policy that states that you tak boleh tengok anything outside of work and no webmail.....i told myself...."Screw It!!", actually i said more than screw it, as if i don't have my own ways to do what i want. Don't like to be told what i should or should not do. So just went ahead and got one of these babies!!! I got the 8G version and i have to say, there is a reason why its dubbed the Jesus phone. Love that thing. Facebook easily integrated into Iphone and 3G surfing speeds is quite good. Not as fast as my home broadband, but still pretty impressive for a wireless device. If you go to my facebook page, you can see a picture i uploaded(view from my office), using this phone. Facebook integrated into the phone, very nice!!! And oh...i have not forgotten about a superhero's meme from goatplanet.....:p

7 things i hate about the gym.

Lets see....i've been going to the gym 3-5x week and here are my thoughts about my observations in the gym.....one note to make,i not making any of these up.....

1) Look at the pic above.....why does one, fat females especially, wear clothing that make you look like that. For the love of God.....WHY??? I have nothing againsts fat people......but i have problem with fat people who thinks they are Playboy material.....sheesh......lets move on....

2) Again, females....why oh why do you bother working out if you are going to use the weight machine with a resistance of 5lbs....why bother at all. And oh.....5lbs is nothing...stop pretending like you are lifting 100lbs....

3) This next one includes male and female......stop sitting at the resistance training machine and day dream.

4) For males, please don't grunt like a mofo lifting 300lbs.....i hope your muscle tears and that'll teach you to be stupid.

5) Next one females, while using the threadmill, Xtrainner or the bicycle thing, please don't chat on the cellphone. Its rude and i can see why your boyfriend left you, you blabber mouth!!!

6) Couples who workout together.....please don't be lovy dovey to each other while working out.....she don't look that great and i don't like your face......

7) Gossiping while working out with your friend. STOP IT!!!! Workout more and talk/giggle less.

8) Guys, stop looking at yourself in the mirror every 5 mins......your muscle aint' going to grow that fast. Your muscle may look great but trust me, your face is the problem!!

Sigh.....have to go to the gym tomorrow!!! Waaaaaaa!!!!

Wandering thru my local grocery store, i saw this!!! How could i not buy it and see what the heck is it. So anyway, here is the can......

And here is how it looks like inside. Its taste reminds me of a fruitcake or something.
Was curious how the name came about and after doing some googling, found out that the word dick came from the word pudding. So i guess after some mutations of the word pudding, it became puddink, then puddick and finally it was cut short and became dick. Thus dick is an English short for pudding. And the spotted is because of the raisins...thus spotted dick was the name it was given. Pretty interesting i must say. There you have it, a lesson in history.

Got my Canadian PR card today. Sigh!! If only its the US one!!!Well, we'll see what happens next year. If i get it, then it will be pretty cool having 2 residency in 2 countries. Would be even cooler if can maintain both my residency and can get 2 passports out of it. Then i would have 3 passports!!!So when get to the immigration, like in credit card commercial, just flip out a wallet and ask the immigration officer to pick one. Kahkahkahkah!!! :p

Since i got back from Msia, my mental state has changed.Its been 3 months plus and i can't for the life of me explain whats wrong.I have loose all sense of urgency about things and i have lost my sensitivity towards other people's feelings. I am not me anymore.....i don't know where this new state will lead me to. To the nut-house? I don't know.But for now, i will continue to get a grip of my surroundings.

Got myself a new 40" Sony LCD TV a few days ago. I blame this on President Bush......He refunded $600 bucks of my tax money and make me gatal want to buy something. So after much scratching, i think i would like to have a new TV.....the old one 26" just ain't cutting it. Now the next thing is a wife to stop me from making these purchases.....then again, hmmm....have to re-evaluate my statement. I've been busy playing GT Turismo and enjoying it very much with all its hi-def glory. So....yeah...thats where i've been most week as well, in front of this thing.
So back to my racing.......

Ok....what have i been up to?? Been busy playing Mario Kart for the Wii. Oh My goodness, i can't remember having this much fun playing a bloody game. Literally hooked on this thing!! Nintendo really knows how to make games. The response of using the wheel is spot on and very,very accurate. Just like driving a car.

Here is the box the thing came in....The wheel you see if the side pointing outwards from me.
Its pretty small but it works beautifully.

Anyway, i really had fun playing this thing and wish i can share playing this thing with all my friends back home. It will be a so much fun just imagining all of us playing this!!! :)

Going Hi-Def

After a year or so, i finally took the step and decided its time to upgrade my TV viewing to Hi-Def.
Not all channels are Hi-Def, only select few but its the select few that i watch the most.
I can say that the pictures look really clean and crisp. I'm seeing highlights on my news-casters
i never seen before. Can see the color of their eyes and can really see if they had a pimple or a cut on their face. Watching National Geographic, Discovery and especially Food Network is such a joy. Total cost for the unit(on lease) is $169 plus $10 extra a month for hi-def content. Not too bad.

Returning home after 10 years.

Sorry for the very,very long silence. As most of you know where i have been for the whole month of February, i really did not get a chance to update anything. Worst still, i currently have a mental condition that made everything feels like a dream. Its called "depersonalization". I just return from seeing a doctor today and have been referred to see a neurologists next week. I now understand how it feels to have a mental problem and its a very real feeling. You really do not have control over how you feel. In actual fact, if i could control this dream like feeling, it would work to my advantage as i really do loose all sense of emotions and will go into a trance like situation. I literally can block every single distraction and just concentrate on only one thing. So at least now you know why i am so quiet after 3 weeks back here.

In the meantime, returning home was good. I was glad to see my parents and fellow friends.
Malaysia has change so much. But i think the infrastructure change, unfortunately, the society's driving mentality has not. In fact, i think its worst. I thought when i went to Boston, the drivers were bad but boy was i wrong. I cringe everytime i am on the highway.

Another thing that unknowingly happen to me is that i have become a foreigner to my own home country. After 10 years of adapting life to the west, what comes normal to me is not normal back home. Take for example, when going out on the first day in Sitiawan, i went straight away put on socks and shoes and follow my parents to the market. WTF was i thinking. Can you imagine how dorky i look like in the market? But i was not even thinking, i just did it because for the past 10 years, that is what i have been doing. I slowly adjusted and started wearing slippers. I've got more stories to tell but for now, here is a special treat for all of you who reads my blog.
A video of my parents reaction of not knowing of my return. Oh....it was great seeing most of you back home. Will come home again next year. :)

Got this in the mail today. My second Canadian residency today. This time i better make sure i don't get the expiry date wrong. Expiration reads 26 JUNE 08.....right? Tell me i am reading it correctly.
The last time i read it US style so i kinda mess up my entry into Canadian. But before i go up north to be a resident there, i am going to make a homecoming trip back to Sitiawan. I still need to get my papers in my hand(its been approved), so hopefully i can finalize everything by end of this month. Kinda excited to see fellow forummers. There are so many i would like to meet up with but i don't think i have the time to go see all. Oh well, i'll figure out a way.
In any event, i'll keep you all posted. But....pssst....dun tell my parents, planning to show up for dinner un-announced. Kekekekekekkee!!!

Got Touched!!!

Woke up this morning.......had my coffee......went to Itunes......and got bitten by the Ipod Itouched bug. Why? Well, i can download video podcasts on Itouch and watch it when i workout and don't have to rip my DVD's every other week. With that in mind, at about 10am....i went out and got my new baby.

Originally i did not intend to get it but then the thought of how easy to upload videos automatically and also the ability to surf and watch YouTube videos sold me straight away.
I've been touching mysel.....i mean the device all day today and this is one of the best device i have ever had. I only got the 8G version. I had a 20G Ipod in the past and did not manage to even fill up 50% of that. So i decided to be feasible and get the 8G version instead. Absoutely love this thing.

The screen is really responsive and a joy to use. Highly recommended.

Kekekekeke......alright...alright.....went to see Beowolf 3D today. Very impressive CG and effects. 3D technology has indeed come a long way. This is the first movie that i watch which is in full length 3D, yeah, the whole 2 hours(almost!!!). Never got a headache and am totally immersed in the experience. If you get a chance, pay for that extra and watch it in 3D. Totally worth the experience. I think they need to make a full remake of Clash of the Titans in this format. I will totally dig that!!!

Horror Tag

Ok.....i assume this is for Halloween, but then again....who's counting right?? Anyway, got tag by Sila or Hish...not sure since they both share the same blog. 1) SilverBullet.
Of all movie monsters that i get very uncomfortable with is werewolves. Ugggh!!! Ever since American Werewolf in London came out, i never grew out of it. Silver Bullet was the one which i think that really scare the hell out of me when i was a kid. Till this day, it still strike a little fear in me!!!

2) The Untold Story
Move aside all you American Serial Killers!!!! This guy is creepy in first degree. He makes Char Siu Pau out of his victims. I think it was based on a true story. This guy i think is worst than Hannibal Lecter.

3) The Shutter
Ok....this Thai movie is about a camera-men that takes pictures with ghostly images in them.
Why all his pictures have deceased people in it?? There is twists ala Sixth Sense(love that one too) in this one....which caught me by surprise. Wasn't expecting it at all....but totally love it!!!

4) Rosemary's Baby
This is a superb,superb movie. Starts off slow as molasses but then slowly sucks you into the plot. Yeah.....this is what i call story writting. Pure psychological thriller. No gore or anything like that.......highly recommended!!!

5)Ju-On
I think this is the movie that started the American "The Grudge"/"Ring" horror movies.
I found out about it in the early 2000 when i saw the trailer online. Nothing beats the original.

6) Exorcism of Emily Rose
Based upon a true story(what isn't these days). Movie caught my attention from start to end.
Spine chilling scenes of demonic possession and haunting.

7) The Devils Rejects
Violence to the max this one!! Unnecessary violence but very good loor.....:p

8) Deliverance
Hhahahaha........after seeing this movie, you'll think twice about going to remote areas of America and brings new meaning of squealing like a little piggy!!!

9) The Descent
Ending sucks but with 6 hot chicks in a cave escaping from cave dwelling creatures, i am happy.
Very good cave creatures, one of the most original i've seen in a while.

10) Asian Black Magic Horror Genre
Ok...anything to do with asian black magic is creepy. Period!!!
The one above was the last one i watch a few years back. Which explains why i never had any desire to visit Thailand/Burma/Vietnam or places like that.

Falling off them bones!!!

Went to a Cajun place downtown yesterday to revisit Alligator Soul. I've been there before but stop going there 1-2 years back because the music was kinda loud for me when i am eating and they do get busy. Anyway, they've since move to a new location and i thought i'd pay them a visit. The verdict, much-much better!!!

Now to the main course, their Southern BBQ!!!!! Step aside, Chilli's,Tony Roma's and TGIF!!! This is how BBQ should be.....

IMHO, a good BBQ is where all you need is a fork. The meat should be falling off the bones and smothered with BBQ sauce. The dish came with baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw and some corn. I drool just thinking of the meal i had yesterday. May have to revisit it again next week. I am just glad that the atmosphere has change for this restaurant and food is just as good!!!

This has been a Transforming week for me.

This week was the release date for Transformers DVD. And boy oh boy, what a week it has been. New releases normally happen on Tuesdays around here. Anyway, this Monday(i had the day off), i just could not resists watching Transformers on Hi-Def. And with that thought, i went out and bought myself a HD-DVD player just for it. Dem....how impulsive can one get. Anyway, its always nice to play with new gadgets. All i can say is that it looks so much better than the theaters. I can see every detail. To show you the comparison...here is from a standard DVD.

Anyway, to show how much abnormal i have, i bought 2 copies of the movie.
One is a limited edition steelcase set. Can't help it, the case looks good. They also have Autobot one but i decided to get Decepticons. Wanted to get both but i think that would be silly. Here's a look at it.

Gua punya pejabat ada seolang pompuan. Dia tiap-tiap bulan ada hidung punya pasal. So now my problem is that bila dia nak kosong-kan did punya hidung ah...dia take like 30 seconds to do it. Lemme explain, if you just one blow, get it over and done with, gua tarak ada pasal, but this one....my goodness,the blowing dragged.......so you hear all the snort from the hidung.....uggggh!!!! Gua punya bulu roma nak lompat keluar gua punya kulit, lari sampai Timbuktu. I want to muntah big time bila i dengar ini punya bunyi. Pintu ofis dia opposite of me, so can't do jack about it. If i go tutup the pintu when dia do that, kinda obvious.So cerita pendek.....kalau you want to blow your hidung, please laaaa....do it fast.....don't drag ya pee-keung(lubang hidung) on it.

After 7 years commuting 33 miles each way, my office will be moving to a new location much,much closer to my home. If you enlarge the pic above, that will give you a little perspective of the distance. Well, thats about 10 miles off my daily commute. Thus that equates to 20 miles each way, 100 miles each week, 400 miles each month, roughly about $30 savings in gas each month. Hhahahahahaa......but the thing i am happy most about this move is that i will finally have my own office. No more prairie dogging as a cubicle dweller and no more hearing personal conversations of office colleagues and best of all, i can at least play some music over my speakers. Its not that big of an office but at least its my own personal space whereby i can shut the door if i want to make a personal calls. Will snap a pic of my office when i get the opportunity to do so. :)

Robotic Kit No-More

After sitting there for a few weeks, i decided to go ahead and return my lego robotic kit. Why? Well, after much thought, i figure i really don't have that much time to play around with that. Considering you have to assemble and re-program the toy, i dem lazy to go and do that. Furthermore, with the Ipod Touch getting my attention, i think i will re-allocate my funds and get the Ipod instead. Sigh!!! So much to buy so little funds. So......no more robot kit.....but with me....maybe i will go buy it again when the price is right!!! :p

Sadly....the YMCA i go to has to be closed down because i broke all their machines!!!! NOT!!!!
Well, its closed because of their annual maintenance thus i am unable to eat too much these week. I know i am going to go east and west if i don't behave. Sigh!!! I know i don't look it but i really miss working out at the YMCA.....its about 2 miles from my home and its got a pool whereby i can almost always get a lane to myself. Well, unless there are hippos frolicking in there....anyway, one a positive note, my mobo is back in my hands this evening and hopefully by tomorrow, i will get my life back and create a robot or two!!!! Whoo Hooo!!!

Cherry Stone Clams

Went to the asian grocery during my lunch break and saw some wonderfully sized cherry stone clams. The last time i saw them, i did not buy them, so this time i decided to just go ahead and try them out and see. Let me intro them to you(top to bottom), say hi to Nikki, LoLo, Candi and Mercedez. Funny how asians names sound so westernized these days!!! Kekekekekeke!!! Let me tell you, these ladies are voluptuous,wet and juicy. Just in case you can't tell how big they are, just go see the next picture. I know, i know, i should stop making sex objects out of my food!!! :p

Ok....here you go.....here is showing you how big they are. These are possible the biggest hooke.....i mean.....clams i have ever seen in my life. They cost about $2.39 for a pound. I bought 4 of them and they weigh around 2 lbs.

So anyway, to prepare them, i cut some garlic, shallots and green onions. Blended some Ritz crackers. In a pan, melt some butter, put in garlic and shallots....saute them for a bit, then add the green onions. After the aroma comes out, add the crumbled ritz crackers to make like a paste. Take off the fire and put it aside.

Next, open up the clams. I cheat....i use a hammer and crack them open a little. Just put some of the paste that was made and smear them over them clams. Pre-heat over for 425 degrees, and put Nikki,, LoLo, Candi and Mercedez into the sauna for 10 mins.....and the end result is this....

I had a great time with these hooke...i mean ladies......unfortunately for them, i was more satisfied than them. Maybe go get more tomorrow!!!

After many moons.......i finally decided to break down and get me one of these. I got a 20% off coupon, so the urge to get one was pretty high. These things never go on sale like that so i though, oh what the heck, no wife to ask permission for such things and no children to feed milk to, so i might as well take care of myself. Here is my new toy. Lego Mindstorm NXT.
This thing is still cheaper than photography and in the process, i'll get to learn about robotics.
Not sure if i am creative enough to build great robots....but i have a robot dino in mind. But for now, here is the box.

Below is what they call the brick. Its the brain of the whole system. I am dying to try the thing out.

Unfortunately with my PC out of commission, i am unable to do much with it now. Sigh..hopefully i am able to get my mobo back next week. So in the meantime, it has to sit there and collect dust a little.

Was on my way to work around 5.15am a few days ago and lo and behold, saw a full moon. I quicky rush back into the house and grab my camera and took a picture of the moon. Its unfortunate that i don't have time to play around with the settings to get a better picture. Actually i miss and opportunity a day ago when the moon was looking much larger than this one. Sigh....so i have to really keep a close eye on moon times.

when you renew your passport and get this stamped onto it.

What's interesting is that they renewed it just by extending the length of the duration on the passport. I had first thought they said that i needed to go back first, get my ID card then they will renew it. Then i was pleasantly surprised that they stamp an extension on the passport.On the whole, it took about 2 weeks for them to get it done, in which i am very happy about it.Its probably one of the most pleasant surprises of this year.

Ok...here is the story, about 1.5 months ago, my computer kaputed.....just flat out died. Blue screen of death appeared and re-installing it also kenot save. So here is my new box($50 bucks at a bargain,just the case....not the innards).

So i got a buyer for my old monitor for $100 so in total $89 bucks for the upgrade!!! So here it is....my baby's face....

Now i can surf 2 pages at the same time!!!! Ahhhh......this is definately better than the blow up dolls!!!! :p

Was watching NBC news a few days ago and there was a segment about the new millionaires in America. They were focusing in on an individual whom is in real estate and he owns a private jet. In fact he owns 2 private jet and planning to buy another one which is better. The segment focus mainly on how the rich spends their wealth and its truly sad that when the filthy rich spends money on luxuries like this instead of making the world a better place to live. I mean, come on, do you really need 3 private jets for your fat ass.

The report claims that the number of millionaires are growing drastically here in the US but it feels that all these people is only concern about getting bigger,faster and more luxurious things. But on the other hand, they did show this elderly millionaire that decided to ride his bicycle to work and give most of his earnings to the poor and needy. Like the new mexican billionaire that became the most richest man recently. Heck, so filthy rich and the people in his country is in poverty.....and from what i know, he's done nothing much to help his own people. Sigh......with that said, at least we have Bill Gates and Warren Buffet making a difference. :)

Transformers Again!!!!

Ok...ok....i finally watch the Transfromers on the big screen and i have to say this......not enough robot time on the screen. And......not enough whole robot transformation and a bit kelam kabut in certain part of the action scenes. Nevertheless, its a good movie and enjoy it very much. I will have to buy the DVD when its release and slo-mo it to see the transformation and figure out what is going on in the action scenes.Today i went to ToysRUs and came back with 2 figures....

I love these 2 cars as they looked kick ass. I wish they had die-cast versions of it but oh well.

Felt so lost now coz it seems that the whole world has seen The Transformers except me.Die Hard 4 was release this weekend and next week only Transformers. Dem no shiok.But anyway, i went down to the basement and dig out 2 Transformers i had bought a longtime ago. I hadn't even taken them out of the box coz i lazy to go transform them. But i needto get in the mood for the movie next week, so decided to take it out and transform them.I tell you, i dunno how kids did it, these 2 took me almost 45 mins to figure out how to transform them. So with that said.....gonna bring it to my cubicle tomorrow and display them. Hhahahaa....dem childish man me!!! :p

I even got my tickets for the earliest show on Wednesday. Yeah...since i don't sleep in and i hate crowds, 9.30am would be a great time to see it. I have not update my blog for a few days because on Sunday, something unexpected happen. I wasn't expecting it to happen like this. I woke up to a bad news that day. I tried to hold back my shock but i couldn't. How can this happen to me? Why me of all people!! I started to question my existence and how unfair the whole thing is. After all these years with me, my love has finally left me without any warning signs. I question what am i going to do since my love has gone. I console myself and though of all the good times and bad time i have with my love. But i suppose all good things must come to an end sooner or later. People say one has to learn to let go and move on with live after loosing something dear. I will be strong and continue on with my life without my love.I didn't even had the opportunity to say goodbye.
I feel like crying but its ok......pain is part of the growing process. Sigh!! Live must go on and i will survive!!! :(...........My love gave me permission to find a new love if anything like this should happen.

Dem impatient lot i tell ya!!! :p
Ok laaa....i went to the park a few days ago and took some shots. I've not fully explore things yet and taking it slow.

So.....you curious how far my camera zooms.....here's a sample.
Shot one....notice i mark my target in red.

I then did a full zoom....and here's what i got. How abot that!!! I really like the zoom on this camera. Like i said before....i can't wait for the next full moon and see how it turns out!!

Anyway, with zoom, i manage this shot of a man with his dog. I thought its a nice shot of them.

Next i took a shot of a down syndrome gal with her dog. I asked if i could take a picture of her dog and she just jumped right into the picture. Pretty cute situation.

I finally waited till the sun went down a little and snap the sunset of Puget Sound.

The next day....i tried my hands at macro shots......i learn soon afterwards that its not easy to take macro shots around my yard. Flowers are no more and pretty much everything is green.
Focus was really hard with macro but i'll figure out one day.

I have for a long time wanted to take up photography but have always decided against it because i find that the cost of purchasing a DSLR and pair of lens with a serious zoon, is a bit too expensive for my liking.I mean, its not to say i cannot afford it but i don't think i want to spend over 1k and end up not using it. Thus it explain why i decided to go ahead and purchase the Canon S3. Well, its not exactly DSLR but hey, for $300 buckaroos, 12x optical zoom and 6mp.....i think its ok for a noob to start off with. Personally, i think this camera does take fantastic photos and it has enough manual settings to give one a taste of taking up photography. For now, i am eagerly awaiting for the next full moon to appear so that i can test out its zoom potential.Who knows, if i think i can get into photography, i may just get a DSLR down the road. But for now.....let me start learning that process.

I was watching a musical program, Andrew Rieu, and he plays the most beautiful songs in his concerts. Then he played the Italian national anthem......truly a beautiful, beautiful song. Which leads me to this.....i think our national anthem of Mlsaaiya sucks!!! It sounds horrible compared to other nations....I recall them trying to make it sound livelier at one time but you know what....still sounds like shit. I cannot believe that we were force to sing that damn half dead monotonous piece of anthem. I bet you that are other nations anthem that sounds much-much worst but i've yet to hear it. I am not a musician but to even try envisioning how our national would sound good is impossible. Whoever wrote that song needs to get his bawls cut off and get shoved up his butt!!!

Originally, Gloomville was conceived on an idea in which i have, whereby i will have a site that will only have a picture of a little village viewed from a distance and the enviroment of that village will change according to the season and events happening around me. I can only visualize this on the top of my head but sadly......i am not an artistic person and thus unable to carry out this idea. The goal is that people will come to the site and see whats going on in the village for that day or week. You know, kinda like how Google change its logo according to events or celebrations. Anyway.....Gloomville came out because when i thought of that idea, it was fall and thus the word Gloom and Village came into the picture. So now you know......:)

Maaf ya....BM gua koyak tapi ada sikit cerita nak cerita sikit.
Jika anda ada baca blog ini manyak,manyak tahun dahulu.....gua ada cerita tentang babi butuh dalam ofis gua. You see......keep cerita pajang pendek, a few bulans ago, dia di-transfered to area cubical saya. Actually, babi itu belakang cubical saya. Saya tak peduli dia tapi dia suka main dia punya muzik. Muzik rock dan hip-hop yang buat saya tarak shiok. Mengapa? Kalau orang main muzik itu dengan certain level of volume, all saya dengar ialah itu bunyi macam orang ketuk at the wall. Celakak!!!! Saya sudah marah dia, request dia guna phone-telinga dan komplain kat boss....tapi babi ini tak henti-henti buat saya marah. Tapi hari ini.....boss saya suruh babi ini bungkus balik ke tempat lain di ofis. Muahahahahhahahahaaha!!! Gua berjaya tendang babi ini keluar dari tempat saya. OK.....got tag by Lilian to share my 5 fav movies of all time.(i think),sorry for the delay ah.....hehehehe...now i do like these tagging as it gives me something to write about. Anyway....some honorable mentions of movies that i've considered putting in, among them....Back to the Future, Predator and Alien series, The Rock and a chinese movie The King of Masks.
Lets march on to my lists.

Shawshank Redemption!!! How could you not love this movie. I can watch it over and over and over again. The only reason i don't watch it too often is because it takes over 2 hours of my life. But when i channel surf and it happens to be on the air, i will surely take a look at it. :)

The Green Mile. Another gem from the writer of The Shawshank Redemption. The final scene with Mr.Jingles does put a tear in my eye. I know, i know....but hey....Purple D also got feeling you know. :p

Raise the Red Lantern. Absolutely one of the best pictures of all time. Surprise to see a chinese movie in the pickings leh? Gong Li did a fantastic job in acting and Zhang Yimou an excellent job in directing. If you hadn't seen it, you must see it.

Mr.Holland's Opus. I like this one because at its core, it tells how one person's life can touch so many.

ZOOLANDER!!!!! ZOOLANDER!!! ZOOLANDER!! Hhahahahaa......everyone i know hates it to death but i enjoy it to death. The sheer cheesiness and stupidity of it makes me laugh every damn time i see it. I know this movie was banned in Malaysia because it made fun of the Prime Minister but hey....how could you not laugh at male models. A must see in my book. Maybe i should pose the Blue Steel look one of these days for you all. :p

Ok...i've been swimming 3-4x a week and found it to be quite boring but in my quest to loose weight, i'll do whatever i can to keep my mind occupied while working out. So i got me one of these waterproof earphones.

Since i already got a iPod Nano, i went ahead and purchase an Otterbox. So does it work? Hell yeah!! Yup....now i am swimming with my fav. tunes.....and noooo......boy band songs are not in my playlist. It actually work pretty well and i believe i swim much faster these days. So if you ever wanted to swim and have some music, this solution works. Here are some other pictures.

Freeze dried durians

Ok...went to an asian store a week ago, walking around the aisle and saw this.

At first i was dem skeptical about it. But since it was USD$2.19.....nevermind laa...buy to try and see. Anyway, i didn't want to eat it in my office, so i waited till i get home. So as soon as i reach home, i quickly open up the package and tried it. Low and behold....tasted like the real thing. Taste wise, i would say that it tasted 100% like the real thing. This is how the dried ones look like.

Needless to say, the next day, i went back to the store and bought over USD$30 worth of dried durians. I did share with some office collegues and get interesting response from them. All in all, this is probably the next best thing to the real durians. As i type, i am gobbling down some and my breath smells like i just ate durians too. Hahhahahaha.....:p

Sorry for not keeping up with this on a weekly basis. A bit quiet hoor.... I guess i am too damn lazy to write down anything these days. But since Hisham tag me, i will have to list out the 5 things that I believe the lot of you do not know about me. Of course i won't tell my deepest and darkest secrets, that one i'll tell my wife only haaa....

Okidoki...here we go....

1) I sucked at accounting. During my college school days in Msia, i was the only fella that flunk my accounting. All the putting the transactions as credit and debit is not my cup of tea. But i did manage to pass it after i retake the test. Dem paiseh.

2) I am an early riser(No dirty thoughts here ok). I get up everyday at about 5.10am to get ready to go to work, but even on weekends, i end up getting up that early. When i tell my collegues that i get up that early in the morning, they just roll their eyes.

3) In all seriousness, i really don't like kids. Thats why i never think about marriage. I can't stand kids for long periods of time. 1 -5 hours maybe ok laaa...but more than that, beh tahan. Cute yes, annoying also yes.....and commitment scares the heck out of me. I think the thought that my wife will end up like Kg. Koh Ah Soh does not sink well with me.

4) I am responsible for the big write up in the newspaper in 91 about how prefects were elected in ACS. I think it caused quite a stir in school and that was one of my proudest moments in my life. But i did get busted though.

5) I do like some boy-bands songs. Dem...my super secret out liao!!!

Ok.....i made a good chunk of change from the sale of the PS3's. Lets see, i sold it the morning i collected the unit and got paid on the spot. Whats sad was that, the very next day, the profit margin on Ebay for PS3's drop about $500 bucks. Total time, i hold the PS3's for about 20 seconds because the buyers wanted to follow me to the store to collect it.I guess i got lucky by dumping those ASAP before the price crash. But in any event, with the money i made, i bought a Nintendo Wii, a notebook and a future PS3 when its easier to get it on the market. Wiiiiiiii!!!!

Ooooh....this is very exciting. Since i put my PS3's online, i have been getting offers like mad. I won't say how much now coz i am closing the deal with people tomorrow.
But as of now, all i can say is that my profit is about 1 pay checks worth. Will update tomorrow. I've also ordered Nintendo Wii, and if that one is in demand also, i probably sell it as well. :)

Coming from a very money minded town....here is a story of a local Sitiawan boy's adventure in Seattle yesterday.Ok....i came back from the gym yesterday at around 7.15pm....put some smoked mussels into the microwave, ate my dinner and proceed to the computer. I checked some videogame bulletin boards and found out that videogame shops are taking pre-order for PS3 the next day. What did i do?? Out of curiosity......i called one of the shops and they told me that they are having a midnight pre-order and there was no line because not many people know about it. I literally stop forumming and dash out the door. I got to the shop at about 8.00pm and i was first in line. Whooo Hooo!!! Hang out with some really cool Uni kids there soon afterwards. Anyway, at 12.01 am......i got my orders in.

Anyway, i went home and went to bed. Got up at about 6.00am....shaved and shower, and am on my way to the mall again to go to another store to pre-order a PS3. Malls here opened up early for people to do morning walks in them. Thus after driving around the mall a couple of times, i ask security where is the entrance for the walking walks and was shown the way. Anyway, i turn the corner and Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! there was no one in line and i was first in line again!!!!! Life is good.

Now for those of you who don't know, new videogames launch are hot commodities during Christmas time. Xbox360 went for almost 3-4x its retail price on Ebay. So the reason i am doing this is i hope to make some extra money selling them. Its been predicted that price could go as high as $2000 for each console on Ebay. Too bad i can't be at 2 places at one time coz i would have ordered more. Oh....i put down $100 and the PS3 is going to cost $600. Oh....called my boss this morning telling him i am not coming in today. Hehehhehehehe.....

Got the new Ipod Nano 2G for free last week. How? Well, one of the banks here had a promotion whereby if you open a checking account with them,they give you one for free.
So i deposited in $50 and get a $150 dollar gift!! How cool is that??
Use to have an Ipod but sold it....but since this was free.....why not?

Every since i went overseas in 98, i would have to say that i have missed all of my friends wedding back home. Its really no big deal but when i think about it but i do wish i could have attended some weddings.I have to admit.....save me money from kena-ing saman!!! Hhahaahhaa.....To all of my friends that have wedded over the years, here's a long overdued "Congratulations!!" for having found your best friend.

I've always like Tag Heuer watches, especially the one shown on top. As nice as it is, i just could never justify the USD$1200 price. I think it costs too much for a time piece that tells me the time. Would you buy a watch for that price?
But.....i've made myself a deal.....if i ever get my greencard in my hands, i will go ahead and buy a Tag for myself as a gift for finally reaching one of my life's goal.
I will wait patiently for it then. Sheesh.....all my life been waiting for that thing!!!!

Went to the mall this evening and walked for 1 1/2 hours non-stop. Legs started to get sore...back start aching.....sniff! sniff!! getting old already....here pain...there pain....so sad. When i finally sat down....feels like a 1000 year old body resting...feels so bloody good. Worst thing of all....i am only 32....Waaaaa!!!!!
Somemore workout 4x a week....still feel like shit after walking like that!!!
Remind me to not go hiking for i will end up dead in the tracks!!!

As most of you know, i was active in church at one point in time.
With that in mind.....i would say that 90% of my friends back home in Msia are till today, i think, practicing Christains. So i was looking thru some pictures and the thought came into my mind....would these friends of mine still treat me as who i am.
Especially those who i knew thru the ever famous DUMC church. I've know a lot of people from there and if i ever return home, i would love to see them again but would they overlook the fact that i do not share the same belief as them anymore. I know of some good friends that i am sure that will still be my friends no matter what. But till then....only time will tell......:)

After 8 years living where i live, i found out that there was a man-made island that is about 5 miles away from me that is frequent by many locals. To go to the island, you take a 3 1/2 min free ferry ride. Anyway....i went there this weekend and saw some people kiteboarding. Damn....that looks like something i can take up. Sure looks like hell lot of fun and pretty cool activity. Now i really want to try it out but afraid because its an extreme sport and fatty a bit paiseh to take it up. But it sure looks like fun. Nevermind....next year....i go ahead and pick up that sport. Need to save some money for the gears and at least a course to get myself familiarized with the sport. Watch out....here comes a flying dinosaur!!! Kekekekkekee!!!

Was reluctant to go in the first place because if i had gone....means have to spend 2 weeks cleaning up other people's system and from what i heard its a mess over at that project. Turn over of the analysts on that project is high because they don't know the system well and seems unable to handle it. So i feel happy not going. But do want my balloon ride a little though but nevermind....next year i go there myself for summer!!!

Got a call this evening and was told that i needed to go to Colorado to help out another project for 2 weeks. Sigh....don't like working assignments like this but no choice...have to go. Went online and see whats there to offer and found that there is a hot balloon ride there....costs about $200...hmmmmm...very tempting to experience a once in a lifetime event.....in any event....will definately make full use of the time there. Hopefully, if i go on the balloon...no disaster will happen.

Every once in a while, an ad catches your eye and you go like....Wow, now thats creativity. I was flipping thru my Wired magazine and came across this ad by VolksWagen. Its a manual for Back Seat Drivers. Normally i would just throw this out but this time...VW did it. This is the manual itself.

Its absoutely hilarious when you read thru the manual. You get trained as your responsibility as a backseat driver. Some of the responsibilty includes:
1) Food Distribution.
2) Blind Spots.
3) Car to car communication.
4) Monitoring Fluid Intake.

Itchy and Scratchy

This has got nothing to do with that show but thought itchy and scratchy describes my story best today. Heheheheheehe......Anyway.....on with the show. I went to a Japanes Buffet yesterday afternoon and had a wonderful time whacking sushi's,seafood and more sushi.
They have this excellent salt and pepper prawns with head still in tact and a lot of orange brains to suck on. So i think i must have whack about 10-20 of those. Anyway.....i got home and Jeng! Jeng! Jeng!.....start to feel itchy. Damn.....i must be allergic to those prawns.....but since its been 6-7 hours since my lunch, i thought that the worst was over. Boy oh boy, was i wrong.....somewhere at 12am....hives kicks in....ichiness was all over me, i was scratching like mad and i can't sleep. Then it hit me.....i got an Epipen in hand(basically it gives you a shot of epinephrine to ease the reaction). Thus....i quickly went for it....and i have never used it before.

You basically jab the epipen into your thighs and it will deliver the shot. So being a n00b......paiseh..paiseh....i was looking at it trying to figure out how it works.....and all of a sudden....pop.....FUCK!!! The needle activated, shots fired and here i am.....out of Epipen to take the shot. FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! . When i saw the needle.....shit....thats some mean looking mother fucking needle. Seeing that needle also make me scared.......i don't think i want to jab myself with that. So sadly....went to bed....feeling itchy and scratchy.....:( But its ok now....slept in for extra 2 hours and went to office late.

Anyway...here are some pictures of the Epipen......shit.....can't believe i am suppose to jab myself with that. The pen has been activated.....so in its original form....you don't see the needle.

Its funny,annoying,serious,childish,pathetic and most of all.....makes life for the moderators and admin of the forum very "interesting". Hari ini ya....gua punya "Pengurusi" suruh saya that dia mahu saya buat kerja baru untuk syarikat laaa......Saya taruh dia....cakap....sudah lima tahun saya buat kerja ini,kerja itu......gaji pun macam celakak punya.....saya tak mahu buat lebih kerja kalau mereka tak cepatkan process kad hijau saya. Cakap pada dia....apa motivasi untuk saya nak buat itu punya kerja kalau saya tak dapat setitik tahi daripade syarikat ini? Saya tak boleh tahan daaaa.....kalau tak bagi kad hijau.....saya balik "kampung" dan mereka boleh cari lain orang buat kerja saya. Sudah 5 tahun saya tanya untuk kad hijau ini.....tak nak buat...sudah.....awak orang boleh pergi main layang-layang!!!

Akhirnya.....pengurusi cakap pada HR untuk cepatkan process kad hijau saya dan HR cakap mereka sudah nak hantar borang itu kepada immigrasi. Dan bila pengurusi cakap berita itu pada saya.....saya cakap.....kalau nak saya buat kerja baik-baik....you all better keep your promise....kalau tidak.....good luck cari orang lain buat kerja saya.

Ok....so i was surfing the web a few weeks ago and came across this game, Raiden III.
Shit....this was the game series in which when i was in KL pucker down all my money just
to finish playing it. And to my happiness, this PC version of Raiden was excellent. I was waiting anxiously for it for weeks now...and i finally had it in my hands. Since it was an original game from Japan(only Japan has it), i figure what the heck...might as well spend some money and play a game that i love when i was in KL. I went ahead and bought a joypad also....all i can say, i feel like a little kid again, and its so worth it to be able to relive the good ol days. This is what gaming is all about....good gameplay.....now if you'll excuse me....i'll go and get my hands sore!!

Got tag today for some Meme thing Lilian had.....so here's my 3 tips for loosing weight.
Bottomline of loosing weight....input and output....less input and more output = weight loss....no "magik" pill or anything like that.....

1) Don't eat so much...eat enough just to make yourself feel comfortable. If you really want to see fast results, eat enough till you are only a little hungry.
2) Excercise! Excercise! Excercise! even 1/2 hour helps...
3) Eat more vegetables and fruits....the best thing about fruits is that you'll feel full without the huge calories like in rice and meats.

There you go....3 tips......start loosing weight or you'll end up like the 3 guys above!!

Wrinkle cream that works??

Ok.....was looking myself in the mirror the other day and notice some wrinkles under my eye.......so i was curious if those commercials about such cream would work. Anyway, went online and found out that Neutrogena one has rave reviews. I normally don't believe these crap so in order to satisfy my curiosity.....i head over to Bartells(drugstore) and bought me one of this.....So i put it on....its now day 4 and guess what.....it bloody works......i don't believe it...it bloody works.....of course i don't have old people wrinkles but i can clearly see the lines dissapearing.....so all you ladies who are reading this......i am being a guinea pig here for you and i am telling you this thing works. The cream does make your skin more feel sensitive(like a little burning sensation) but its ok.....so head out and get rid of thos wrinkles....Oh it costs me $15.99......

I finally got my Christmas present today. I have always wanted to get a compact light camera, you know, the one where i can actually fit in my front pocket and take it anywhere i go. So today, i was surfing the web, i stumble upon some coupons which basically brought the camera down to $300. So i bit the bullet. So far.....its a great little camera(Casio Exilim- EXZ750. Its a very nice camera and i am glad with the results. This means i may be posting more pictures on my blog since i can carry this around. Maybe pics of food...hehehe.... Anyway, now that shopping's done...i may just take this camera for a spin this weekend. Should be interesting!!! :)

Ok....finally.....the white shit sticks!!! And i went out in my shorts to write something on the pavement. Muahahahhaaha!! Yes it was cold but i was too lazy to put on my long pants.....so just hurry up and take a picture. I am glad i am not working today. Hate driving in the snow. Was in the dentists office the other day and saw an article about Storm Watching here in the NorthWest.....and then i got the bug to go see it.Maybe go to Oregon or more towards the west of Washington. So will be watching out for the weather report and keep an eye out for storms. Also was told that another good activity to do is after the storm, people comb the beach to see what the storm brought it. All this sure is exciting me. Well, will post pictures if i do get to do it.

What the fuck is Ju-Ju-Be?? Thats my thought when i was in the asia store yesterday and saw a lot of people picking up this up. Ok...its a fruit but what is it? So anyway, i thought if so many people buying it, it must be good...so i bought it....at $1.49 a pound, i really can't go wrong. And when i got home, i quickly open up the package and pop one into my mouth.....damn.....its damn nice.....light and sweet....reminded me of jambu taste. Then i took another one out and it tasted familiar.....and then it finally hit on me...this is the fresh Chinese Red Dates. You know the one you put into peanut soup and such. So now i know how fresh chinese dates taste like and i like it. I am begining to suspect that jambu and this fruit are related.......

Everytime someone mentions Canada, i am always reminded of South Park the Movie, Blame Canada song!! So that explains the title for today's blog. But it does not explain why i choose Canada today. Well, my attorney just informed me that my application for a Canadian PR has been approved and that i can land and work in Canada anytime after my passport is being stamped. This means that in any event that i get laid off or if anything should happen on the US side, i can always hope over the border and see how it is. I don't really intend to return home to Msia but then again, if i have enough money to pay off a house in Msia and car......may consider moving back. If the house and car is paid off, all your income is basically yours and life should be pretty good after that.......So YAY! i got my Canadian PR(backup plan) and that also puts me in a better position job wise....:)

Back to work tomorrow!!! Waaaaa!!

After 2 weeks of not dealing with any work related stuff, its with a heavy heart to say that it has all come to an end. Oh well, i had a good break and also kinda bored of not having much to do with my free time. But fear not....i will be having another week of vacation at the end of November for Thanksgiving. Definately looking foward to that one for sure. Oh well, all good things must come to and end. Ever since 1987, i've always wanted to attend the concert by Def Leppard. I missed my opportunity when they came to Malaysia in 1994 because was a broke student then......so when i got back from vacation this week, was looking what's going on round where i live, to my surprise, i saw that Def Leppard is performing in a stadium less than 2 miles where i live. At first i hesitated because of the $59 dollar ticket price, but then again, i figure, when can i have a chance again to see these guys perform live. I also use to like Bryan Adams back then and he's performing with them. So basically 2 concerts for the price of one.....Sigh....only sad thing is that i will be going alone for this one because i don't think any of my friends would like them but who the heck cares, i am still going despite all of this.

After 6-7 hours of plane ride, i am finally home. Sigh!!! So nice to be home with all my stuff and my realible broadband!!!! I still have one week to kill, so thats a good thing. Have not figure out what i want to do this week, was thinking about going downtown Seattle and do a little exploring but when i look at what is there to do....reality hits me....nothing to do.....all the sights i have been to is pratically boring as hell. Ok.......make the decision today to cut short my vacation 3 days. Why? Look at the picture on top, rain,rain,rain and more rain. And it'd never did stop raining. I would put this vacation i had as a so-s0 one. First, fall colors like premature ejaculation, the coast of Maine like watching porn instead of having sex...... and the rest of the trip like impotency of old age. Weather will be like this in New England for the whole week and into next week!!! What can i do? I have to either stay in hotel or get wet visiting these places!! Sigh!!! So woke up this morning, cancel all my other reservations and heading off home to Seattle tomorrow. Dem fuck up i tell ya. Oh well, at least i've see a little fall foilage, tasted so much lobster till i am tired of it and saw a scenic lighthouse in Maine. Better than nothing.....but at the end of the day, my vacation could have been so much better. All George Bush's fault!!!

Finally, after much digusts, i had a good day.To my surprise, there is a lighthouse in Portland about 8 miles from my hotel, which had the most pretty lighthouse in US. I am glad i brought along my travel books. The sight of this lighthouse is fantastic and this makes up for all the fustration i had yesterday!!! Was so happy to have found this one!!

To add to a perfect day, i met up with Sila in New London. It was a surprise as i didn't know she was that close to the hotel i was staying at. She went out of her way to find me a great seafood place named Abbot's. This is probably the authentic seafood you get in New England. Glad i had it and the great hosts make it even better. Thanks Sila.

Shit....my holiday is going down the toilet. Why???
First of all, the fall colors not really there yet, today, wanted to see lighthouse and coast of Maine and guess what happen??? Fog!!! Fuck i tell you. Came all the way and can't see jack shit on the coast. The lighthouse also cannot see. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Tomorrow, driving down to Connecticut to New London.....suppose to meet up with Sila but not sure if i can make it there on time or not. Anyway, also i am fed up of lobsters now. Had lobsters stew for lunch and then lobster rolls for tea time. I don't want to eat anymore lobsters......waaaaaa!!!!!

Went of a 5 hour train ride today and the views were pretty good. I can't imagine how nice it would look when fall is in full bloom. Maybe need to go back and visit this next year again. Hmmmm....10 years ago, i was 21....that means i will be in APIIT first yeardoing my diploma in Business Apps right after i finish my Hotel and Catering Diploma.Yeah...a lot of changes, but so far, best damn move i make.

After i finish up my Bachelor in UK, i decided to try my luck in getting a jobin the US. How i got it??? Long story short, i got into a programming courseand thus it provided me with the opportunity to work after i completed my course.Although its not the best paying job in my opinion, but i think my collegues and bosses have been supportive of my immigration status thus far. So i think i amfortunate to have what i have now. :)

New England vacation.

My first vacation for the year. Was hoping to see the fall foilage in New England but i think i came too early and trees were pretty damn green. Sigh!!! Nevermind....live and learn.
Anyway, i hope to blog more on this trip but shall see how it is. Got lost while trying to find the hotel today. Boston International Airport is very,very confusing. I landed at about 6.00pm and somehow got to my hotel at 8.00pm coz the dem road has so many bloody turns. Anyway, enjoy the view from the Harbor....from a further distance than the pic in the forum. ;p

Holy Crap....Kansas has the best damn BBQ!!!!

Ok....back from my trip......did not sleep well for 2 days or so.......eyes a little bit burning.
Anyway, yesterday, one of the managers took us out on a BBQ at a place called Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ......shit.....that has got to be the best damn BBQ i have ever tasted. Also, the baked beans that they have.....i almost crap in my pants to as how good it was. If all beans can be prepared that way.....i can be vegeterian already.
And yes, for all those of you who has the nagging thought of, what about your diet.....for your infomation, i have lost about 10pounds since i started it a month ago. So i am still doing fine on my diet. I actually had a great time in Kansas with other people from my company and although, i will have to recover from my lack of sleep,i should be ok. I am heading out to the East Coast again on Sunday to New England for my vacation, so have to go thru the plane ride all over again. Sigh!! So its great to be back.

Recently, i've have an interests to watch old P.Ramlee movies. I still think that he's the best director Malaysia ever had. I think its pathetic that Malaysia has not release a single DVD of good quality from this director. I am sure these will sell well. A lot of us grew up watching his Ali Baba and Do-Re-Mi stories and the "Cubaaa-an" shows....LOL.....i have vague memories of his show, but would love to have all his movies in my DVD collection. I think instead of wasting time censoring all 18sx crap.....the entertainment industry should keep P.Ramlee's work alive. Now, if the DVD of his movies exists, let me know ya.....but in the meantime, i can only think back to wheni was a kid watching his shows with my family and laughing together!!!
